It's difficult to analyze a game impartially that brings you so much nostalgia and so many feelings.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge is a landmark for an entire generation in the 80's and 90's. Therefore, those who played in the past must play now.
Personally, I have my favorite game among those already released: TMNT III The Manhattan Project (NES). And I know that most fans prefer the classic Turtles in Time, which is even the main of inspiration for this new title.
Shredder's Revenge is a beat 'em up that has all the features to be the best in the style: accurate and challenging gameplay, a perfect soundtrack (especially the one from "Panic In The Sky" stage), all the classic characters and a plus bonuses (April , Splinter and Casey Jones), all plot and enemies based on the classic (and the best!) series based on characters, the 1987 cartoon, in addition to stylized pixelated graphics that pleased most fans.
Here is perhaps my only "negative" point I have about the game. I understand that most fans liked the choice in artistic direction, but I'd still prefer the exact same game with updated graphics, in the same style of Streets of Rage 4 that Dotemu itself released some time ago.
Highly recommended game for those who like the genre, being easily, one of the best releases of last years. I hope that the public and critical success the game is having brings us sequels, DLC's and more content always. Cowabunga!

Pessoalmente, tenho meu jogo favorito entre os já lançados: TMNT III The Manhattan Project (NES). Eu sei que a maioria dos fãs gostam mais do clássico Turtles in Time, sendo esse inclusive a base de inspiração para esse novo título.
Shredder's Revenge é um beat 'em up que possui todas as características para ser o melhor no estilo: jogabilidade precisa e desafiadora, trilha sonora simplesmente perfeita (destaque para a fase Panic In The Sky), todos os personagens esperados e mais alguns bonus (April, Splinter e Casey Jones), todo o enredo e inimigos baseados na clássica (e melhor!) série dos personagens, o cartoon de 1987, além de gráficos pixelados estilizados que agradaram a maioria dos fãs.
Aqui talvez esteja minha única ressalva sobre o jogo. Entendo que a maioria gostou da escolha na direção artística, mas eu ainda preferiria exatamente o mesmo jogo mas com gráficos mais atualizados, no estilo de Streets of Rage 4 que a própria Dotemu lançou há algum tempo.
Jogo recomendadíssimo para quem gosta do gênero sendo, fácil, um dos melhores lançamentos dos últimos anos. Espero que o sucesso de público e crítica que o jogo está tendo nos traga continuações, DLC's e mais conteúdo sempre. Cowabunga!
